Ride - Nowhere
I doubt Ride could have picked a more appropriate cover than this. The wave looks both serene and powerful and Ride's wall of jangly guitar noise has much the same effect. Ride trusts the listener with this cover, because it could easily be passed over yet with just a little thought, it says everything there is to say.

OK, this makes me want to grab my board and head out to El Porto.
Do you have it on vinyl? Because this cover seems like it would be twice as good on vinyl. It's also one that if I was holding it I'd probably tilt it to look at it from different angles. I also like that they (I'm assuming) believed enough in the image that they didn't feel the need to slap a big band logo on the front.
dschalek - I'm not a surfer, but it does look like a good one.
Mark - It came out in 1990, so it's probably on the bubble as to whether it was ever released on vinyl. I have the CD, but I certainly wish it was 12"! It's definitely one to look at in many different ways.

It was definately released on vinyl. I think all there albums were. Check out the cover to Going Blank Again, thier follow up album. Also brilliant.
